Additional Gas Cooling Systems
Chillers are used to cool compressed gas, in hot climate areas or during summer seasons, as by reducing compressed gas temperature a greater amount of gas can be filled by dispensers into natural gas vehicle bottles. Chilled compressed gas fueling can increase gas vehicle mileage up to 15% when compared to ambient temperature fueling.
A typical chiller unit is composed by the following equipment :
· One heat exchanger for each pressure line · One water refrigerator, with refrigerating rated power ranging from 10 kW to 40 kW · One 3000 liter refrigerated water storage tank with recirculation pump
